The purpose of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the efficacy a tranexamic acid (TXA) perioperative protocol for primary hip- and knee arthroplasty, in terms allogenic blood transfusion rates. A retrospective cohort conducted included all hip arthroplasty procedures period 2014-2019. Patients who underwent surgery due trauma or revision were excluded. total amount 5205 patients eligible inclusion.
